Since death is a certain fact that in most cases would cause grief and bereavement to the deceased's family, the existence and creation of eulogies is also certain. While your loved one was alive you never needed to dig down deep to explain to people just what they were like.
Perhaps you're not accustomed to public speaking, and the mere thought of speaking in front of a crowd makes you nervous. We learn to cope with the situation at least temporarily. For those of us that do, the notice is usually short, and the task must be done under the stresses of coping with the loss of someone very special to us.
But ensure it is not over whelming because it might upset the bereaving family. If more than one person is delivering a eulogy, coordinate with them so both approaches are used. A Celebrant will honor a family's wishes and will present either a religious or non-religious gathering.
Remember to prepare and organize your thoughts. Be sure, though, not to include anything that may offend or embarrass.
